Chevington Woods Pool Swim Lesson Information
You must be a member of the pool to sign up for swim lessons.
Dates:
- Session 1 M-Th June 12-15 (Friday will be used as a make-up day if needed due to weather)
- Session 2 M-Th June 19-22 (Friday will be used as a make-up day if needed due to weather)
- Time: All lessons run from 11:30 am – 12 pm
- Cost: $40 (per session/per child) Payment needs to be by check. You may pay for multiple children on the same check. Please make sure the swimmer’s name and swim lessons is written in the memosection. Please make checks payable to Chevington Woods Kingfish. Please note: your swimmer’s spot is not secure until payment is received so please be sure to turn in the registration form with your check to the office. Space is limited and spots are available on a first come first serve basis.
Level Descriptions:
- Parent and Tot: A class designed for preschool aged children to explore and gain confidence and comfort in the water with the help of their parents. This is an instructor led class. Each swimmer MUST have a parent in the water with them. (Maximum class size: 12 registration is first come first serve)
- Level 1 Introduction to Water Skills: A class designed for school aged children or those that have passed a parent and tot class. This class will help swimmers gain confidence in the water and teach them basic water safety. Swimmers will learn safe entry/exit from the water, bubble blowing, submersion, floating, gliding and swimming on front and back. They will also learn basic pool and water safety rules.

- Level 2 Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills: This class will help swimmers develop the fundamentals of swimming. Swimmers will further develop the skills learned in Level 1 as well as learning front crawl, backstroke and rotary breathing. Swimmers will also learn additional swim safety skills.

- Level 3 Stroke Development: This class will help swimmers refine the skills learned in Level 2 to allow them to become more efficient swimmers. Swimmers will further refine front crawl (freestyle) and backstroke, learn butterfly kick and kneeling or sitting diving. Swimmers will also add to their knowledge of swim safety
