2023 Chevington Woods Recreation Club Membership Agreement For the 2023 season, the Chevington Woods Recreations Club (CWRC) Board of Trustees has extended the agreement with Columbus Pool Management to staff and manage the Chevington Woods pool including the pool's mechanical and chemical operation. Under this agreement, the CWRC Board of Trustees still maintain stewardship of the non-profit corporation and its assets. The CWRC trustees continue to be non-paid roles sourced from our membership.
Management reserves the right to determine inclement weather conditions for operation (i.e.: less than 62 F, lightning, heavy rain/storm, tornado, fog, unsafe conditions, etc.). When in doubt, please call to confirm operation: Pool Office (614) 861-5057.
The pool will close early at 3pm on up to four Wednesdays in June and July for Kingfish Swim Team meets. Please check with the pool or see the pool calendar to confirm these dates. There is no open swimming during this time, but spectators are welcome.
Entry and Babysitter Policy: No one under the age of 12 years old is allowed at the pool without an adult/guardian/designated babysitter. Subject to lifeguard approval and provided babysitters maintain reasonable control of children they supervise: babysitters 13 years of age may supervise a maximum of 2 children; and babysitters 14 years of age or older may supervise up to 4 children. Entry age and babysitter age policies are subject to change if safety concerns arise.
Guest Policy: Guests may only attend with members while the member is present. Guest entry may be restricted when facility capacity requires.
Weapons Policy: Chevington Woods Pool has a no weapons policy on pool grounds.
All members should maintain a current photo in the pool database All members agree to abide by current pool rules.

Pool Rules
State Laws
- No running on the sidewalk area around the pool
- No diving in the 3 and 4 foot area No competitive diving or gainers/side gainers No glass containers/objects on pool grounds
General Rules
- No bullying, harassment, discrimination or intimidation will be tolerated
- Absolutely no profanity, pushing or fighting
- No sitting on shoulders
- No long breath-holding games
- Only soft balls/toys allowed in the pool
- No water guns of any kind are permitted
- No sitting on the edge of the pool during rest periods
- Non-swimmers, including those using a floatation device, must be within arm's reach of a responsible adult
- No pets except trained service animals are allowed within the pool fence
- Food and drinks should not be consumed within the pools or on the pool deck
- Apparel worn in the pool must be swimwear
- Swimwear styles should be appropriate for a family environment
- No bicycles permitted within the pool fence
- Please dispose of trash in the supplied trash receptacles
- Pool furniture and pool property is not to be abused/misused
- No smoking or vaping on pool property
- No one under the age of 18 is allowed to swim during rest periods except children 5 and under while accompanied by an adult
- Entry age and babysitter requirements are enforced based on current policy
- All members and guests must check in prior to entering the pool fence
- Lifeguard and staff discretion will determine when conditions are not safe for swimming
- The lifeguards and staff are here for everyone’s safety. Every person on the property of Chevington Woods Recreation Club, Inc. shall comply with their directives
Diving Board Rules
- Must be able to swim the length of pool unassisted
- 250 pound weight limit
- Only one person is permitted on the board at a time
- Only 1 bounce is allowed on the board before diving
- The diver must jump straight forward off the board
- No backward dives, reverse dives, inward dives, gainers, side gainers or backflips
- No cartwheels, handstands or hanging off the board
- No goggles or flotation devices are permitted on the diving board
- Exit the marked diving area immediately after diving
- Do not dive until the person before you has left the marked diving area
- The pool staff may restrict certain dives or divers based on safety concerns
- User is required to obey any additional safety warnings on the equipment itself
Diving Well Rules
- Swimming in the diving well is permitted outside the marked diving area
- No rafts or flotation devices are allowed in the diving well
- The swimming area may be extended when the boards are closed
- Slide Rules Persons using the slide should be at least 48” tall 275 pound weight limit
- User shall ride feet first and upright at all times
- Stopping or changing position is prohibited
- No goggles or flotation devices are permitted on the slide
- Only one user may be on the platform at any time
- Always check to see if the landing area is clear before entering the slide
- User is required to obey any additional safety warnings on the equipment itself
Baby Pool Rules
- Warning: No Lifeguard Children must be supervised by an adult at all times
- No jumping into the baby pool
- No large inflatable rafts or tubes
- No children over 5 years old
- The lifeguards and staff are here for everyone's safety.
